  WELOME TO SOULSISTASOFSAPPHO'S PROMO PAGE SoulSistas of Sappho believes that there lives within each of us a poet, artist, activist, mother, and lover. SoulSistas of Sappho celebrates the legacy of Sappho and Her style which was sensual and melodic; primarily songs of love, yearning, and reflection. Sappho nurtured women, sensuously, erotically, politically, and spiritually. Sappho has become so synonymous with woman-love that two of the most popular words to describe female homosexuality--lesbian and sapphic have derived from her. We are an empowering community for adult lesbian wommin of color (18 years and over), which embraces and is dedicated to nurturing artistic expression, political, and spiritual diversity and development and celebration of individuality. Although primarily a group for lesbians of colour, we have extended it to those who support us as well. SoulSistas of Sappho is about creative self-expression, and we encourage you to share your thoughts, ideas, experiences and insights with us. We have chosen Multiply to host our group and we wish to extend a warm welcome to you and all of our members. We are delighted that you have chosen to join us in celebrating our womanhood. We have built a strong community and fostering meaningful relationships and connections. SoulSistas of Sappho is a private group and primarily a group for lesbians of colour...however; we have extended it to those who support us as well. When looking at potential members, there are two primary areas of consideration: 1. The Individual - We look for someone that is open-minded, respectful of our community, and have something to offer our community. 2. The Safety & Integrity of Our Community - In protecting what we are creating in this space, we desire that, at a minimum, a potential member has a profile, is an active blogger, and hopefully is connected to one of our other members. MEMBER PARTICIPATION POLICY: It is expected that all members in this group will actively participate by posting a blog, adding a photo album to the photo gallery, posting an upcoming event to the calendar, or responding in the comments section to post by other members. In addition please stay tuned as we will post upcoming SoulSistas events, chats and socials. So how do YOU get started, well YOU must first become a Multiply member. Once YOU have a blog page you may respond here and one of the admin team will send YOU a very special SoulSistasofSappho Group Invite.
